High-Level Meeting with Iraq’s Minister of Electricity

In September 2026, POROTEQ International participated in a high-level meeting with the Minister of Electricity of the Republic of Iraq and the Deputy Minister for Electricity Production at the Ministry of Electricity in Baghdad.

The meeting was held in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Iraq, providing an important platform for strengthening Polish–Iraqi cooperation in the power generation sector.

During the meeting, POROTEQ presented its engineering, manufacturing, refurbishment and maintenance capabilities for power generation equipment, including gas and steam turbines, mechanical spare parts and rotating equipment.

The discussions focused on opportunities for further cooperation and POROTEQ’s continued support for the Iraqi electricity sector through European engineering expertise, advanced manufacturing capabilities and specialized turbine services.

POROTEQ is committed to developing long-term cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and supporting the modernization, reliability and efficiency of Iraq’s power generation infrastructure.

Successful Full Rehabilitation of Dresser-Rand 10 MW Steam Turbine

POROTEQ International has successfully completed the full rehabilitation of a Dresser-Rand 10 MW steam turbine casing, restoring the equipment to reliable operating condition.

The project included comprehensive inspection, rehabilitation, repair and refurbishment of the turbine casing and associated components, followed by final assembly and commissioning support.

Following completion of the rehabilitation works, the steam turbine was successfully returned to operation and has now been in continuous service for more than four months, demonstrating stable and reliable performance.

This successful project further demonstrates POROTEQ’s capabilities in steam turbine rehabilitation, mechanical refurbishment, repair and overhaul services, supporting customers in extending the operational life and reliability of critical rotating equipment.

Inspection planning and clear reporting help keep manufacturing requirements visible at every stage.

Quality activities described by Poroteq include dimensional measurement, material control, testing and checks against agreed inspection points. The final documentation can include certificates of conformity and a quality control book for the customer.
